Welcome to Ray of Hope Counseling, the private practice of Jennifer Rush, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I provide a holistic approach to better serve the needs of my clients, and we will find the best treatment options that will meet your individual needs. I am a highly motivated, non-judgemental clinician, who draws from multiple facets of knowledge and personal experiences. I received my Bachelor's of Science degree in Applied Learning and Development from the University of Texas at Austin. I also received my Master of Arts degree In Professional Counseling at Texas State University. My internships experiences led me to work with victims of domestic violence, as well as provided the opportunity to work with communities and their families in psychiatric in-patient hospitals and residential facilities. While working with these populations, I realized that no matter the age of the client, we all have traumatic experiences that shape us, and make us stronger, however, some of us cannot overcome these experiences and get stuck. After learning about trauma, I decided to help people work with traumatic experiences, and overcome these challenges that keep us stuck. This encourages us to embrace the past, and move forward into the future by bringing meaning to our life experiences. While working with a variety of treatments modalities, together we will discover the best way to reach your treatment goals. I am passionate about helping individuals reconnect with their strengths, overcome past traumas, or currents stressors in order to discover their true selves. It is my mission to treat people with unconditional positive regard. There are no words to describe how grateful I feel when people invite me to walk with them on their healing journey.
